My 15 year old grandson was visiting for a week, in which we spent countless hours in WWII battles with my collection of 1/48 scale aircraft and die cast tanks.
Have to try it out to make sure it is appropriate for the younger generation, but wait it is technically electronical so the kid may play with it for a minute.
Opal walks on bunnies. I think Earl has earned playing with kids toys. Beyond the excitement I don’t believe he is likely to keel over. They probably help him to remain sane. Also, his toys never plot arguments.
In the ‘80s, my wife (RIP) set her grandkids equality number at $500 each. Imagine what that is in today’s numbers. Holy crap! In the ’60s, one of our kids got a motorized truck that turned around upon hitting something and kept on going. So, I put it in the slot between the stove and refrigerator before bedtime - next morning, it was still there and bouncing, kind of like the gender joke of parallel parking.

We all grow old. Nobody said we also have to grow up.

Toys have made such advancements, why not enjoy this technology. When done, pass them on to the grandkids.

George Burns said it years ago – “We all grow older, but no one has to grow old!”. He died right around 100 years young.

If they were still in business, we could be saying that Earl is a “Toys ’R Us” kid!

IIRC men in their 50s spend more on clothes than any other demographic. Probably not for themselves.

As the saying goes…. The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys.

You can always tell a man from a boy…by the price of his toys…..

Why shouldn’t we elderly play with modern toys? They didn’t have such great toys when we were kids.

I am in my mid 80’s and I have one of those remote cars. I race it with my grandson. I don’t plan to ever grow up.

Opal, if you collected toys and they were all Beanie Babies, I think that in your case, zero percent would be a safe estimate.
