Wait until he finds out how little vacation time he’ll get once he starts working.
Wilberforce should be grateful he’s living in the USA!!! In Europe, most kids go to school on Saturdays – also!!!
;-)
2/7 vs 5/7 are not equal? I see we’re learning fractions. So 16/21 vs 5/21 because you only go to school 1/3 of the 5 day you do go.
Better get a helmet, kid.
When I was his age I went to school on Saturday too.
I think you should go 24/7 52 weeks a year.
You can blame that on the American teachers. For some reason they don’t want to go to work Saturday mornings until noon!
If life was fair we’d all be millionaires.
Just be happy time isn’t metric. Ten day weeks would be a killer.
It’s a hard life if you don’t weaken, Son.
yes, life ain’t fair… it’s even better and worse for others as well. but I don’t want to go into details.
Uh, oh. Life father, like son?
As a kid, I always thought about that. My father said, “That’s life, get used to it.”
Move to Europe – get 3 months off. Those folks really know how to live. Refill?
Ah good old Wilberforce, a sliver off the old blockhead.
It prepares you for the 5-7 day work week you will be doing forever….
Brutus’s expression in the third panel is priceless. Combination of mirth and “oh the things this boy is going to learn. He ain’t seen nothing yet.”
I bet a lot of adults out there wish they could get M-F 9 to 5 and weekends off. It’s getting more and more rare.
It’s fair, everybody gets the same treatment.
Not to worry; this reactionary Supreme Court will soon throw out all those child labor laws and you’ll be working 10 hours a day, six days a week!
And your tiny hands will be quite useful in unjamming factory machinery. God gave you ten fingers. You can afford to lose a few.
Brutus might be thinking the very same thing.
Not much would be gained or accomplished otherwise.
Heck kid, you’re lucky when you break even.
It could be worse, Wilberforce. You could be with Veeblefester five days a week.
