His optimism finally did pay off: when they were digging his grave, they struck oil.

He’s a pessimist that the optimists are trying to recruit.

That’s right, keep looking to the bright side of things.

Wrong club.

I’m betting that the other person on the call IS a member of the OC, and has the privilege of bringing a guest.

He’s meeting someone for a half-empty glass of wine.

Meet the guy never nominated for Optimist of the month.

He’s an Aspiring Member. He thinks he might be able to make it to full membership, possibly. It could happen (That’s optimistic for him for now). He still has a ways to go.

I joined an origami club … but it folded.

Every silver lining has a cloud around it.

He’s meeting the other guy AT the club, not IN it.

It could happen.

He’s in the wrong club!

My vision was getting pretty bad, so I went to go to the optometrist.

Turns out that my vision was so bad, that I ended up at the optimist instead.

… and that’s how I got these rose-colored glasses.

If a double-decker bus crashes into us…

Pessimist …what’s he doing at this club?

He’ll get into the wrong Uber.

“On my way to the Odd Fellows Lodge, soon as I change into something that doesn’t stand out too much.”

“…good Lord willin’ and the crick don’t rise.”

I might be late; I have a prior meeting at the procrastinator’s club.

I hope that there’s someone there who can cheer me up . :>)
