It’s easy to tell when school starts here – the quiet suburban street at the corner turns into Raceway Park. It connects the main drag with the elementary school. School hasn’t started, although the School Zone lights on the main drag have been active for a week.
I guess it makes a certain amount of sense, so you get the semester done before Christmas holidays, to avoid having that awkward break just before finals. It also could be a (small) step toward year-round schooling.

No, Fall begins on 9/22. I should know, it is on my Birthday. Fall is my favorite season too!
