Why are psychics never super-rich?

I once read about an NYPD cop who worked in the frauds division. At her retirement she said she had raided many fortune telling establishments over the years, and not one of them knew she was coming.

Signs were up all over town about a psychic convention one weekend.

My question: Why did they need the signs?

Every psychic knows to post, “Due to foreseen events we will be closed today.”

I was driving late one night and this young lady was hitch hiking, I felt bad for her so I picked her up. She told me that she was a magician but I didn’t believe her so she started to rub my leg and I turned into a motel

Not a good sign.

I bet Ralph frequents the psychic a lot to plan out the next day’s daily specials at different restaurants.

This is an old joke, but it is hard to take psychics seriously. The episode of ‘The Simpsons’ where Principal Skinner went missing had the police using a psychic. She was no help with the search; instead she gave a bunch of pointless and now woefully outdated celebrity predictions that never came true. Unless Willie really swim the English Channel and it went unreported somehow.

The psychic got psyched out.

They wouldn’t have seen it coming because they’re fakes.
