I can spend an hour just scrolling through all the junk on Netflix, Prime, Disney+, Paramount, etc., and STILL not find anything I want to watch. So I just turn the dang thing off and watch TikTok videos. LOL

The best part of a good book is the absence of a laugh track. At least 50% of the lines in the Big Bang Theory don’t deserve a chuckle for instance, and another fraction are garbled. Come to think of it, but movies don’t have laugh tracks. Right?

That’s exactly why I don’t have cable anymore. I can’t see spending all that money for mediocre programs! Internet TV is just fine for me.

I almost always prefer a book to television series but I do like watching movies on the tube. Either from my collection or streamed.

I totally agree. I have very eclectic tastes. From Biographies to Westerns, to Detective novels, to thrillers to SciFi and Fantasy.

What really aches me is that we have to pay to watch channels that specialize in shopping. They are full-time commercials, and we have to pay for that?!

Books don’t crash, books don’t get viruses, the paper is recyclable and if you read outside on a nice, sunny day, you’re using renewable energy… what’s not to like?

Very true! Especially with all the crap they are showing! PBS is really looking good, along with Magnonial network, History, and Hallmark. I really worry about the state of mind of our society???

I have reached a point where I tend to read magazines and newspapers rather than books and when I read either they tend to only be non-fiction – history, current events, needlework.
