Too long: all devices have short names.

Because it’s stupid and just isn’t done. Stick to naming your car.

With voice activated remotes it makes sense. I’d like to name mine “Pussycat”. Then when I want to watch the news I could say “What’s new pussycat? Woah, Woah”.

Well yeah, sure … but “Nellybelle”?

I just purchased rechargeable batteries for all of my remotes. Saves buying new ones all the time. No, I haven’t named them (Yet) . .

“Clicker”, the old stand by.

“Sonny” for my Sony.

“Samson” for my Samsung.

“Rookie” for the Roku.

The cable guy left us with our old remote and gave us a new one. The wife has the new one and I have the old one. Now the wife and I can battle it out like Starwar Clone Warriors.

I name my plushies, is that weird? ;\

Nelliebell was Roy Roger’s Jeeps name.

It’s a good movie. I thought Bobby would have had more of a life-change after facing his childhood demons, but that seems to not have happened. And that last scene… was he heading to Alaska? It seems unlikely he’d be following the two girls who think he’s a used car salesman into a place where men outnumber women by a large amount.

Also, the music was good but those songs were all at least fifty years old! :)

For a moment I thought he was watching a horse race…Then I realized it wasn’t Andy Capp!

Well, in spanish could be “NEY” because is “EL remote control”

It’s his remote, he can call it whatever he wishes, though I’m sure Gladys would put the quietus on some forms of nom de guerre.

Why not, some people name their cars.

Other people have Amazon Dot’s, Spots, or Google Home assistants. Only Brutus Thornapple would name his tv remote as his thumbs personal digit assistant.

Amazing that just last night I woke up to make my run to the bathroom and as I went back to sleep I thought about Nellybelle and the Roy Rogers show.

He can name it anything he wants. It’s his toy.
