if she lives where it’s 122F in Summer, I’m sure these September Glummies would be healed in no time

I can feel the impending Fall season by the very subtle changes in the air, wind, and Sun. Hard to explain!!

I did not like the summer once I was 5. We stopped moving to near the beach for the summer. (Okay, we then lived near a different beach – but it was not the same and my grandparents, uncle, aunt and cousin were not at the new beach.)

And with fall came SCHOOL! Being a weird child (now a weird adult) I loved going to school! The wonderful idea – away from my mom, learning things, reading things. (If only one did not have to wake up so early it would have been perfect!)

    She does this every year.

True though. I go camping near Lake Tahoe every September, and many campgrounds are fully or partially closed by then. No crowds though! The lake is mostly mine!

Funny that she didn’t mention that in most areas, school starts in September, too.

That’s what gives most kids the “gloomies”!!

Does not feel like summer is ending here in Northern Colorado, it’s been hot and the forecast says its going to stay that way for a while

It has been cooling down a bit more overnight lately, but not much or enough

Just remembering Fantasticks song… Try to remember the kind of September, When life was slow and oh, so mellow. Try to remember the kind of September, When grass was green and grain was yellow. Try to remember the kind of September, When you were a tender and callow fellow.

The weather guessers are projecting high temperatures 15F above normal for the month. At least, things cool down at night.

September makes me happy. Rug rats back in school, possible savings in A/C bill, good sleeping weather.

Although, this year kinda apprehensive about upcoming heating bills. In my case – natural gas.

Perhaps he should give more heed to her, she seems to be more linguistically talented than he.

Move to Phoenix until mid October. Then the gloomies are that it is September and it’s still 90 in the morning.

No use gettin’ the gloomies til it happens, that’s extra gloomies for nothing.

Over our current ~10 day heatwave, we’ve experienced the highest temps so far this year. Well over 100º most days. It hardly feels like Fall begins in 17 days.
