A generation gap – ever on the increase – summed up in a level of perfection that few will be able to replicate. And it captures the continuing shift so fluidly! Merveilleux is the only word.
Nice strip today. Poignantly humorous and elegantly sad at the same time. Just shows how much generational gaps can be confusing to traverse at times. And, just what IS ‘cool’ any ways? Is it something to be aspired to, or something that is nebulous and overblown? Or, have I just had wayyyyyyyyy tooo much medical marijuana this morn?
I’m so old, I remember when stores started selling pet rocks. I found my pet rock in the driveway. Someone must have dumped it there, so I took it in and adopted it. (Unfortunately, it died years ago.)
We found our pet rocks out in the wild and had to tame them ourselves. We eventually released them back into the wild as they did not fare that well in captivity. We still see them every once in awhile as we explore the back yard.

Heck, I’m so far out of it, I didn’t even know what they were back when they were popular.

Now that he doesn’t have to care for his Tamagotchi all day, he can work without interruption and MMM will suddenly become stupidly profitable.

In 1999 I left a job for another. My coworkers gave me a lunch and a tamogotchi.

I just buried my pet rock. It died of old age.

I was hoping to see an explanation for the Mr Bandi reference in the comments.
