Our scoutmaster would say were were going “live off the land” that day and in the end it meant pork and beans.

A roux thickens a soup, or a Jambalaya. I know them all, except Frenching.

Has anyone tested that theory? I never became a cook because of a diminished sense of smell (long before Covid).

By definition a chicken breast is deboned so why would you want to bone a chicken breast? The rest is pretty basic. A roux is a base for many sauces, it’s butter and flour, nothing weird, after you add what you need to make gravy or whatever.
