Enjoy both authors and their books. But, sorry, Jason, the Harry Potter movies were infinitely better than those of the LOTR. If each LOTR book had been divided into 2 movies, perhaps they could have really brought the books to the screen instead of trying to cram in incredible amount of details into a 2-1/2 time slot.

Has it occurred to Jason that it is possible to be a fan of more than one thing at the same time? I enjoyed both series immensely.

LOTR is my favorite, but I like HP as well, especially when they started getting darker.
