Lot to comment on this one. First of this is weapons grade adorable, not only to see Lee go ther copy but to see them all just enjoying it. I also love the subtle implication they asked her to come back with them. This also takes me back to the times i’ve gotten a book and just.. torn through it in one sitting. I paticuarlly remember getting the latest captain underpants and reading thorugh it before I even got home during a day at the mall. (Wrath of the Wicked Wedgie Woman if you were curious). Ahhh memories.
Nothing could possibly ruin that book for them. Huh? The author just posted a manifesto about trans peop— ohhhhhhhh… Um, anyone want a free book, or some toilet paper?
When my Cub Scout den rode up to Chicago in our den mother’s van, Mom (her assistant) noticed at one point that we were all suddenly quiet and saw us reading comic books that happened to be in there. When our whole pack took the train up a couple years later, she found somebody giving away a larger supply. I still have some of those.

This is so Harry Potter. Clear the day because the book dropped and I won’t have time for anything else.

Momma alarm really screams if it’s quiet too long.

Everything seems ok, but maybe you should confiscate the books, just in case.

POV: They’re secretly planning a cult on their phones and hiding it with the book.

A quiet child is a suspect child. Especially a teen.

If you need to check up on what your tweens or teens are doing without bothering them, come with snacks.
