I work retail. Have never had a work from home day. In fact in the last 2 1/2 years I haven’t even needed a sick day, despite my doctor claiming i have a weak immune system. Just my regular scheduled days off, assuming that i wasn’t called in to cover shifts because the younger healthy staff members got sick.
Workers actually have the edge over bosses in this economy. I suppose you could make a case that the Republicans are good for workers, aside from lying to them and trying to enslave them. Stopping immigration perpetuates the lack of new workers needed by employers. It also works against the members of the Republican party, as all their policies do. Republicans are mostly old. Without immigration there will be no new payers into the Social Security fund they plan to be withdrawing from.
Actually, they made workers wish they had cubicles. They went to a “shared workspace” (which – blessedly – I never had to endure). Everybody sitting at a station on a single table. NO privacy.

I’ve had to be back in the office since September 2020. I have no empathy for people whining about having to go back now.

Your 2 dimensional “cubes” are called panels. I don’t see that changing.
