It’s a wonder anyone can maintain their sanity in this crazy world. No surprise that so many choose to just keep their head down and not rock the boat, er, dimensional bubble, er, straight up crazy train.
Since they both say it. Apparently they share similar beliefs. The shamans are probably saying…See!! We warned you!! But did you listen?? Noooo…fancy names and earlobe collection is all you care about. XD
Hurray for the story installment being posted in two separate pieces so that the resolution/readability is clearer. :) Lovely artwork with the sunrise in the battle scene.
It looks as if Marx has retrieved a static image of Cracked Cat, frozen in time. Will be interesting to see how similar (or not) Cracked Cat is to Wally once the Cardoodle is animated again.
I think this is epic for a very simple reason: Marx has hinted this has happened again and again, which means these people have a Prophecy (Capitol P) involving a flaming cat.
And thus on the eve of a battle, a flaming Cat did appear… all thee tremble before it…
Now I understand why Bullwinkle never pulled a rabbit out of that hat. He either reached in too far, or not far enough; always missing the dimension that contained rabbits.

Still a tale of a tail on fire!

And yet, Marx has never been caught catnapping.

Hmm, for some reason I am reminded of the Cat Stevens album Teaser and the Firecat…

Uh oh! Mr Neathery, we have a technical error here…
In the previous sequence, Marx plunges his left hand through the dimensional opening. But the above image is that of a right hand…
Readers of Arthur C. Clarke’s Technical Error will remember that getting one’s parity flipped is bad news…

Somehow I missed the posting of the previous comic; this was still glorious to see!

Some great art, (not to mention concept) in the last two installments. Aaron is on his game.

Sixth panel – both armies in full retreat at full speed! Shame those wonderful names and the mountain of earlobes won’t be remembered.

Hot dang. We have a strip, or two. Depends on how you look at it.

So in this reality the “flaming cat” is a sign, sort of like the Four Horsemen?

I like a little surreality for breakfast.

Lovers of Lasagna go to the Nevada desert every year to eat Lasagna and burn a 60 foot talk Garfield.

My own view: if it’s funny, why question the details?

This is getting into the realm of the Chronicles of Amber. One of my favorites.
