It happens even to good friends. The thing is to pick your battles. Is it worth it? And to not say something you can’t take back.

Sit back and ‘smile’. That generally gets the other’s attention and neutralizes the argument. It is hard to fight when only one is fighting.

Bark it out Fred, you will come to a resolution, though tough to outbark a terrier!

As far as they still are listening to each other everything can be sorted out.

A family with a large dog moved into one of the duplexes adjacent to our yard. Our trio is not happy about it.

Good thing there’s no cat here…

My DIL has 2 Rottweilers and a Yorkshire Terrier. Yipper the Yorkie runs the roost, the Rotties bow down before him.

Heh!! You meant to say, Fred, that you and Jock have logs for heads!!

Jock reminds me of our Scottish Terrier from many ago. He definitely thought he was a much larger dog, once even making a Rottweiler back down in a PetsMart (large pet store chain that dogs can be brought into, on leashes of course). It shows what having a lot of spunk can do.
