As my hearing deteriorates, good subtitles are necessary.

I have to use sub titles because the British talk so fast. It’s hard to decipher what they’re saying at times

My hearing is getting bad enough I may have to go with subtitles soon

I spend at least as much time reading as I do watching TV

Need reading glasses for books, but I can see the TV fine

Oh man, I actually hate doing that if I don’t have to, because then I spend all my time looking at the subtitles and not at the imagery on screen, causing me to miss potentially important but subtle details.

I’ve got to the point where I am annoyed if there isn’t closed caption.

There are some languages I can read but haven’t heard much, and don’t always recognize the words when I hear them. It would be nice to hear/watch an opera subtitled with the original libretto (sung words don’t usually go by as fast as speech).
