Roscoe IS doing his job — working like a dog. It’s a constant job listening to Earl.

2007 was a good year …

Poor Roscoe…woken out of a sound sleep…

When I was working I looked forward to being retired and not having to do anything if that’s what I wanted. Funny, I’ve rarely been busier…

Poor Grampa……… SO sad.

The similarities are too many to name.

Oh god, he’s getting me involved in his family problems again.

Separate from some superficial similarities, Earl is one of a kind.

kids today have their lives scheduled to the last second. sad, but it does make it easier to not parent

And Roscoe’s face showed sudden terror.

He is more like Roscoe than Nelson.

I just realized my dog and I are way too much alike. We sleep the same hours, go most of the same places, sit nearby each other when I read or on computer, go outside at the same time, even eat meals together often, even if sometimes different foods. This is kind of a scary thought, but no regrets. I like having a dog who likes to stay by me when I am home and just sleeps when I am gone (I used to have a camera set up, I since gave it to my child for her babies).

To me, being retired is like having Saturdays all year.
