Teens come to more door with or without costume get candy. Even the ones that just wear one of those stupid t-shirts that says “This is My Costume”. I can’t abide that “costume” but they get candy nevertheless.
When I was 11 I was 5’ 6" and a 36B. People thought I was in my 20s. Looks mean nothing. We moved right after I turned 12. Mom was a waitress, so she was at work for the night. It was the first time I didn’t go, trick-or-treating. I had fun handing out the candy and watching horror movies.
My husband, at 6’7" in his teens, went trick or treating with his friends and when people opened the door he and his buddies poured candy into the parents’ bowls to resupply them for the little kids. Not what the people who were about to give them lectures were expecting.

Mom handed out the candy at our house. Would have some older kids come to the door now and then. Mom always gave them some candy.

teenager comes to my door, they get candy. Rather have them get a treat then get in trouble.

We are happy to give candy to whoever shows up as long as they have SOME type of costume. Doesn’t have to be much.

If they bother to put on a costume, they get candy.

I’m at that age where anyone under 50 looks like a kid.
