This was long after Lucy buried the blanket, and Snoopy brought it back. Also, when Linus had to hand it over when his grandma gave up smoking, and Lucy tried to burn it.
I had a security blanket once. The last recollection of it was when I was 10, sitting in what would become my front yard of our last home. I don’t remember using that blanket before then until back when I was 4. The move to the house momma had built must’ve been a traumatic event. I have no memory of that little blanket from that day forward. I guess there wasn’t time for trauma with all the moving that took place.
Linus’s blanket is a bit thin, Lucy. Snoopy would have been better off with the quilt off your bed. Better yet, a sleeping bag. But you didn’t care, you just saw a chance to get rid of something YOU didn’t care for. Something that WASN"T YOURS!

“How do you expect him to get through the desert?” From what I understand, you can go “through the desert on a horse with no name”.

Don’t worry Linus about having to get through life. You have the fountain of youth. You will stay a 6-year-old boy FOREVER and ever.

As I recall, the blanket is made of something called “outing flannel”. Go to the fabric store and purchase another yard of it.

Empty materialism. Also, when you’re old enough… Well, nevermind for now.

Again, that last sentence conjures up the song lyrics ‘going through the desert on a horse with no name.’
