Skipped right over the Cornucopia. Saw a local porch decorated with a pumpkin, a cornucopia, a three foot plastic candle that said Noel, and a Happy New Year banner. Done, till Spring. Well, maybe a few tightly knotted balls of twinkling lights. (My tree top decoration.)
Carve only one side then November 1st rotate the Jack O’ Lantern so the solid side shows. Add a brightly painted skull mask for Dia de los Muertos, some dead leaves and a branch of something evergreen, remove mask a day or two later and done for the next month or so.

Nope, Christmas does not officially start with me until after Thanksgiving, no matter what the stores want.

If it weren’t for Halloween, they would have stores full of Christmas stuff by August.

This would offend my wife. If there is an excuse to purchase decorations she takes it. So it’s Thanksgiving decorations time for us.
