Every once in a while, we see where Petey’s weirdness comes from.
Alice’s dad is setting her up for years of therapy to overcome her fear of trees.
Good thing it’s not Peanuts world then that could be a kite eating tree
Somebody has seen the Wizard of Oz.
Maybe it’s an Ent.
I think that I shall never see; a tree jumps outa ground at me…
I love making up stuff like this
Is that a Petey voodoo doll she’s holding?
Stop a minute and look at that first panel. Richard drew it so we’re looking down and over at the scene. He had such a great way of using different perspectives.
Good Grief! In the second panel, is Alice holding a D*mmit Doll? www.dammitdolls.com
I’m calling PETT – People for the Ethical Treatment of Trees!
It may be cruel but it is safe.
“I cannot tell a lie. I cut down the tied-up tree with my little snark…”
Notice it’s not Timmy Fretwork, because you can’t tie a banjo man down…
Yes! Tell them blatant nonsense! My kind of parenting.
A tree is not really inanimate, but so what. The nit-picky part of me had to say that.
I’ll bet more than one person has thought of doing that to Alice. Hang a little sign there- Beware of the Tree!
Dendrophobia is not too widespread, but Alice may become a textbook case study of it!
This is the one comic strip that consistently makes me laugh out loud, literally.
