In all reality, Coach I’ve watched every tape here and rated them and the tape your going to look at is XXX Rated. Why don’t we destroy that tape ? What you did on that tape happened a long time ago ,let’s pretend that party never happened .
When an injury at volleyball practice is what now passes for sports because Ol’ Hank knows nothing about sports (except maybe soccer) and has not shown any willingness to learn, I am outta here after over 50 years reading this strip. Good luck with trying to attract what has been stated as your target audience – most of whom only read what is on social media and have mental issues because their lives are not like what they see on social media – becuae they are spending their lives on social media instead of living their own lives.
NOT breaking to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving in Milford. Regardless it is a good time to reflect on the spirit and meaning as expressed in the closing paragraph of Abraham Lincoln’s October 3, 1863 proclamation that created this holiday:
It has seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently, and gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and one voice by the whole American people. I do, therefore, invite my fellow-citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next as a Day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the heavens. And I recommend to them that, while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverances and blessings, they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to His tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners, or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty hand to heal the wounds of the nation, and to restore it, as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes, to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquility, and union.
The monster created by GilPa gots to be Not So Cool Hand Luke. 1987 VT vs Milford game tape that probably exposes Hernandez-Martinez in game to be mortal after all, and embarrassed the jerk. Thor P probably shook Lukey’s hand after the game with a “nice game son” compliment, angering the little b@stard. BHHLHM graduated from VT in 1988, then became all PAC 8, PAC 10 or PAC 12 before graduating in 1992 or 1993. He wooed Sophia with promises of rainbows and unicorns. BAM! Then Pedro and Luke, Jr. came along. So in Milford time, this could be between 2010 and 2015. Definitely before Truman Standish.
Coaches Held Hostage: Coach Kaz, Day 44. There’ve been many greats in many sports who’ve worn 44 on the back of their uniforms, but for me, 44 will always bring to mind Henry Aaron. I didn’t root for the Braves (except when they played the Yankees in the World Series in 1957 and 1958) but always admired Hammerin’ Hank. My first letter to the editor that Sports Illustrated published concerned his uniform number. They showed a picture of him wearing some obscured single-digit number. I asked them to clarify since I hadn’t realized and couldn’t quickly determine in those pre-internet days what the number was. They explained it was 5, which was issued to him in spring training and was ultimately replaced by his well-known 44.

… well, it’s not as if the school district is going to pay to digitalize all those tapes.

Anyone else think Milford still has its 1950s reel to reel projector and screen?

Gil, that set-up will probably work better if you plug it in.

Let’s hope that Maestro didn’t tape over it when he was recording “The PTL Club”.

I hope the tape shows Gil wearing a sombrero, shaking maracas and heckling Luke Martinez.

I am going to guess the tape shows no clues as to why Coach Hairy has such a chip on his shoulder.

Ooh, nice burn by Orville there in P2! And speaking of burns, Orville is wishing that he could burn Gil’s pile of tapes in Mopped Up Thorp.
