She still has a little over ninety years to live. At best.

Awwww… Good thing this is a comic and Phoebe will be forever with Marigold. But now I kinda want to see a Marigold’s nightmare where a grew up Phoebe has to move far away.

Taking in count Phoebe is a mortal human… that would happen someday.

Meh. You can always make a new friend in the future. Probably a mutant or a cyborg.

Unicorns live forever, but not so little girls, Forest walks and best friend talks give way to boys and curls. . .

You’d think an immortal creature wouldn’t be so insecure. I guess that comes from hanging out with the likes of us.

To a unicorn humans must have the lifespan of a fruit fly.

This is very sweet. Reminds me of the book “David and the Phoenix.”

Reminds me of Darrin and Samantha Stevens a mortal married to a near immortal.

    Oh man this hits hard!.

Marigold is totally aware of being without Phoebe one day and this means that Marigold will probably suffer far more than any other creature.

It’s like with pets, you love them and they fill a big space in your life and soul, but one day or another they will have to die and you can’t believe how much it hurts until that final moment.

There is no way to protect yourself from it except not having pets.

But then your life also becomes sad and lonely for that reason.

I think Marigold is also worried if once Phoebe grows up and becomes a teen and adult if she would still love her the same.

So this is very disturbing for Marigold in many ways.

It just so happens I thought about The Last Unicorn and how in the beginning the unicorn did not know the joy and pain of love and regret as well as life and death.

She went through horrible pain and you could say she was even damaged, but she was also far more advanced than the other unicorns as well.

I think Phoebe would also be telling Marigold not to ever leave her as well.

I really hope to see a future with Phoebe and Marigold growing older and going through the swings of Phoebe’s puberty and young adult years.

It might become like a high school drama series or something, which I would prefer it wouldn’t.

bring out the goodness of Phoebe’s and Marigold’s future lives together and don’t full us with agonizing doubts and questions

I prefer to think Phoebe’s kids and grandkids and … will fill the void. It won’t be the same, but it’ll have to do.
