Don’t you just love it when your father is so inspirational and admirable, and he makes you believe you are special and can grow up to become the president of the USA?
Brutus needs to exude a more positive attitude for work. Maybe say “Just another day in the gilded hamster cage”, or maybe, “A great day in the ferret suite” might work.
Usually, I have heard the expression regarding being on the hamster wheel rather than in the cage. Poor Brutus. He could at least be bored to death from monotony and not locked up.
