Today’s strip reminds me of a Calvin and Hobbes Sunday strip in which Hobbes started walking in his sleep and Calvin nervously followed him saying, “Somnambulists give me the willies! Where’s he going?” Calvin’s parents heard him and came downstairs. They saw Calvin and saw Hobbes as a stuffed tiger in front of Calvin. Mom asked, “Are you sleepwalking, honey?”. Calvin pointed to Hobbes and replied, “I’m wide awake! It’s this bozo who’s sleepwalking!”
Rover! Oh well, he was just taking advantage of opportunity, lol! Nice artwork today from our beloved Brian. I had to read R&R on another cartoon site the last few days but it just wasn’t the same. So glad to be home!
I had a cat who loved carbs. We had bought a loaf that had butter drizzled down the middle. In the middle of the night, Natalie had got the bag open and taken one bite, the butter drizzle part, from every slice. Curiously shaped toast the next morning
Owners need to take responsibility here and make sure food isn’t left on the edge of the counter. My bet is on Martin not putting the bread away right.
One fall many years ago, I left three loaves of freshly baked pumpkin bread to cool on the kitchen table and went out for just a bit. While I was out, Morgan (my second dog), apparently couldn’t resist the aroma and ate two of the loaves completely. (Surprisingly, he didn’t get sick at all.)
We had a farm dog Emmi who would take the bread out of the car when we were unloading the groceries. She could finish it in less than 5 minutes. We learned to get the bread out first. Luckily she never learned to use a can opener. Miss her greatly.

Looks like something my dogs have done. They chose a chocolate chip cookie.
