When the bosses came in from WHQ, we’d call them “The Suits”. We also called them “Seagulls”, because they would fly in, crap on us, and then fly away.
My only suit doesn’t fit anymore and at my age, I can’t see buying a new one since I’m going to be cremated when I die. if I have to dress up, it will be my western sport coat, slacks, snap closure shirt and bolo tie.
Since the early 1990s I have lost 84 lbs. I am still wearing not the only same size as when I was heavier, but also in many cases the same clothes as I did back then! They fit then and they fit now – while not thin, I am not fat any longer either.
I recently had to buy new bedroom slippers – I had my last pair for some time before the pandemic started and recently the bottom of them had split. I had to buy a pair of boys slippers as my feet are at the bottom of the ladies’ sizes and could not find any, and the girls slippers were not the kind I liked. My normal shoes are boys skateboard sneakers in black.

Eh me always look distinguished does me not.

It’s difficult to look distinguished, squished into an old dress suit that seems to have “shrunk” over the last few years.

Haven’t worn a suit since the early 1980s. I don’t even own a sports coat or any ties.

Can’t fit into any of my suits. They all shrunk. Material nowadays doesn’t stay the same as when new.
