I was stationed at Pearl Harbor and heard football score on the radio at the bar I was in. I went back to the base and went in telling people the score and found they were watching the game!! Turns out they are delayed. Whoops.
I DVR the games, then check the final score online to decide whether or not to watch. If my team loses then they lose, but Iâd rather not watch them do it.
Whatâs the big deal about recording a game and wanting to watch it âunspoiledâ? Itâs not a scripted drama, knowing the outcome will not diminish your enjoyment.
I used to record the radio play-by-play of the Washington State University football games, to listen later when walking. I had to record them on VHS tape and copy them to audio tape. I had to break in to listening to the source when copying so I could stop when the post-game show came on, and I would inevitably hear the losing final score. That season for game after game they would build up a big score, and wind up losing every time. At least that was fascinating to listen to.

Jerry Seinfeld did this first with a VHS recorder and the NY Mets in his pilot episode in 1989.

A friend of mine records games to watch at a later time. I donât see the point. If I miss the game, I just look up the score online.

I donât recall Pig ever before being so quick with a pretty good response/excuse to give to Rat.

Apparently Jeopardy gave away the ending to a TV series that was still on some folksâ to-be-binged list. It was not appreciated.

What is the expiration date on spoilers?
CaveCat87 about 2 years ago
Yeah, Rat didnât want the game to be spoiled.

Rat, remember you use the bat on Pastis on Sunday whenever he does those stupid puns. With pig, use a flamethrower

Warriiors? Do they do some kind of sport?

As with most any basketball game, you only need to watch the last 5 minutes.

Iâve been practicing yoga for fifteen years myself. Never heard of those moves. Pig needs the âavoiding the easily angered friend moveâ.
