This was bound to happen. CB would probably be happy to be suspended from school.

Anyone else who gets the “Another fine mess” reference, raise his/her liver-spotted hand.

That was bound to happen sooner than later the way she was complaining.

There was a summer camp story in which Peppermint Patty confronted the little red-headed girl (offstage, of course) and Charlie Brown’s name came up. Charlie Brown was sent home for being a troublemaker who caused girls to fight over him (although the reality was a bit different).

It never works out well when a woman’s most favorite word is don’t, and she likes it so much she has to begin every sentence with it.

Patty reminds me of someone…..ah yes, my ex-wife.

This strip is from the ’70s. In the 2020s, if P Patty bullied Chuck (as well as all the other things that went south for Chuck for life as he is the “born loser”) we would be hearing some reporter like Don Lemon or Wolf Blitzer talking about a young student who went off the reservation and did something that would make it the numero uno story on the national feed. Sad times we live in.

As I said earlier, this was later done in Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown(And Don’t Come Back).

You’re supposed to wait until you get married until you start criticizing and nagging, Patty!

I’m ready to give up on this comic, it’s gotten ridiculous.

Charlie Brown finally stands up to Peppermint Patty and it lands him into trouble. Nothing ever goes right for him.

When this strip originally ran, our paper was weekdays-only, and I wondered why they were in the principal’s office on Monday.

My wife, in many ways perfect, shares the habit of licking her fingers to turn pages in a book. I am a confirmed bibliophile with a fairly large library, and it drives me nuts. Once I asked why she didn’t simply spit in whatever book she was defiling. The conversation went downhill thereafter.
