“The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.”
This comic is dedicated in honor of ski jumper Vinko Bogataj.

Songwriters: Bob Gibson / Enid Reiser / Larry Reiser

Eddie the Eagles ancestor ?
The agony of defeat.
and the agony of defeat….
I’m reminded of the Disney Goofy skiing episode where it debuted his infamous yell: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-HOO-HOO-HOOEY!!!!! YAAAAA-HOOEY!!!
At least he wasn’t “ the agony of defeat’ for those that remember the Wide World of Sports show.
Stuck the landing!
Too much Red Bull?
“S’now skin off my nose… and cheeks, and chin, and…”

Go for the gold!
Well, at least he had snow this time. Yesterday, the skier was taking it down a sand slope.

I’m ok…
Love the well supported launching pad with those braces and sways. Engineering was in the genes of humans.
He’s left his mark on the sport.
And a soft landing?
Everything went just as planned. )-;
On another bright side, it’s a soft landing.
Great structure later copied in medieval times…
He must have lost his skis before he stuck the land. Probably how he was able to fly past the tape
It must be uncomfy to ski in just shorts.
Note to Outlook Calendar for Spring, go back and get his skis.
Time to skidaddle.
Colorist got it right today
