Cats sitting with their front and hind legs and tail tucked beneath them can be mistaken for a meatloaf. If you do a search, you’ll probably find plenty of proof.
I’m intrigued by the written text underneath the definition of Cat. Is it some sort of placeholder text? If this is from the 1980’s did Kliban have to hand write it?

I’ve never mistaken a cat for a meatloaf, I’m pretty sure. But I’ve frequently known a cat to mistake a meatloaf for cat food, very insistently, too.
