About forty years ago while at Disney World on a couples vacation my friend and I launched our “Spouse Embarrassment Campaign” by sofa diving in the main lobby of one of the prominent On Location Disney hotels. Once we saw them enter the lobby we would go into action and then proclaim loudly pretending to find quarters and dimes… spouses were not amused…. we were quite amused by our clever actions. No weren’t drinking.
When I first started seeing my husband in 1982, I’d do his laundry. I was always finding money in his pockets – $10 and $20 bills. He said it was easier to put money in his pockets (both shirts and jeans) when we were out at the clubs than back in his wallet.
That triggered a memory. When we were kids we used to have “Confederate” money… where did we get that? (pretty sure it was play money not “real” money)

Twenty dollars. That’s like getting an Income Tax Refund without having to land on Community Chest.

At least sofa fishing is legal. Unlike the ‘phishing’ for personal information online that some people do.

Nelson seems more interested in money than my kid was at that age.

Pulled that $20 bill joke on my son on April first. He fell for it just like Nelson.
