It seems that Brutus learned common core math before it was invented.

Remember there are three kinds of mathematician: those that can count and those that canā€™t.

Yeah, Brutus, I can empathize; math was/is not one of my strong points. I can do what I need to do, but it takes a while. Thankfully, there are calculators.

Teachers used to tell us that we wouldnā€™t always have a calculator readily available. They sure got that wrong.

Yes, an improvement from 50% to 60% isnā€™t good enough.

Brutus is evidently grading on a curve as 6 of 12 is 50%. But, even with a 10% gain, 60 is still an F, Wilbur. I used to have trouble with math, but I loved science. Go figure.

If sixty percent isnā€™t good enough, than fifty percent isnā€™t either.

If he got 6 out of 12 answers wrong, then he got 50% right not 60%.

Truly funny. Brutus didnā€™t say he was good at it, just that was his best. And Wilberforceā€™s look shows heā€™s wondering what his worst subject was! Or maybe heā€™s thinking Dadā€™s ā€œlegacyā€ qualified him to work in the prestigious tea cosey business so maybe heā€™d better study harder!

60% may not be good enough to carry on your legacy, but apparently 50% is.
