His full name is PhD Brutus Thornapple.

It seems that Brutus learned common core math before it was invented.

If math was his best subject, I can only wonder how he ever graduated.

I’d say your math skills have deteriorated over the years.

Anyone remember “new math”? So easy, only a child could do it!

Tutor him Brutus, teach him…you can do it

Remember there are three kinds of mathematician: those that can count and those that can’t.

Brutus could get a job writing for a politician. Nothing they say adds up.

Yeah, Brutus, I can empathize; math was/is not one of my strong points. I can do what I need to do, but it takes a while. Thankfully, there are calculators.

Do they still grade on a curve?

Teachers used to tell us that we wouldn’t always have a calculator readily available. They sure got that wrong.

Yes, an improvement from 50% to 60% isn’t good enough.

And it’s tax time. I have a bad feeling about this.

Brutus is evidently grading on a curve as 6 of 12 is 50%. But, even with a 10% gain, 60 is still an F, Wilbur. I used to have trouble with math, but I loved science. Go figure.

If sixty percent isn’t good enough, than fifty percent isn’t either.

now wait a minute… who’s the one going to school here?

Missing the decimal point it would seem by his comment. and may just need summer school to get it…..

Brutus knows you get 10% for effort, correct spelling of your name etc..

I am not a math genius, but I know the correct answer here.

I feel sorry for his other grades – if math was his best. I can’t even imagine how bad his worst grade subject must have been.

If he got 6 out of 12 answers wrong, then he got 50% right not 60%.

He’s continuing your academy legacy alright.

Truly funny. Brutus didn’t say he was good at it, just that was his best. And Wilberforce’s look shows he’s wondering what his worst subject was! Or maybe he’s thinking Dad’s “legacy” qualified him to work in the prestigious tea cosey business so maybe he’d better study harder!

He probably never got past basic arithmetic to mathematics.

60% may not be good enough to carry on your legacy, but apparently 50% is.
