I think it was in The Pre-History of The Far Side where Gary Larson showed an editor-rejected cartoon of a boy playing a tuba on the other side of an outhouse while a crowd in the distance looked on. I guess you can do that kind of cartoon today.

Jiffy, Bully and Doily over at the Family Circuits should be calling the police about that racket. Throw the book at him!
