Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
My sister in law (Lord rest her soul) once gave me an 8 foot 2 × 6 and ask me to cut her 104 inch length. I said how? She said with her hand saw. I said how do you get 104 inches out of 96? She had read CM on tape measure.
At least it’s not carved in stone on a mountain in Tibet. I wonder how a tattoo artist might salvage it. If your Mid-Century enough, you’d leave it as is and hang it in your ‘Rumpus Room’

Measure with a micrometer, cut with an ax, beat to fit, paint to match.

My dad was meticulous with projects. My mom sometimes chided him, “Which one of those 6 measurements are you going to use?”

Sorry, but everyone here is missing the point. The “error” in the sign is a far more effective way to get the point across. He’s actually very clever.

Measure 3 times, mark it twice, cut once.
