What could go wrong? Well…

As soon as he is asleep, she should bundle the kids off to a motel to finish the night.

In a few more years he won’t need the alarm and will discover 3 am!

Adam is lucky he isn’t married to my wife, or he’d be hearing, “Just get your lazy a$$ up now and take out the trash!”

If I were Laura I’d take it out myself and then assign him something else to do to make up for it. You know that trash isn’t going anywhere at 6:00 AM!

She needs to get up at 5 am, run around barefoot, and put her cold feet in his back when the alarm goes off at 6.

What could go wrong is, even if we had trash pick-up here, some critter or another would root through it and spread it all over the area. I’ve had bears come into my garage, while I’m going in and out working on some project or another, and grab a bag in the two minutes I’m around the corner. Have to keep ours inside the garage, doors closed, until trash day (today, in fact).

It’s like watching the opposite of I Love Lucy – women smart; men dumb!

I love the pre-dawn. The house and world are quiet, they are mine. I enjoy seeing everything wake.

Have same problem with my garbage guy. She refuses to bring it out the night before, but 9 in the morning is a bit early.

“Must be nice!” – All us Readers who get up for work well before 6am every day.

If I waited til 6 AM to take out my trash, that would be the day the trash man came at 5:30 AM.

He actually has lights on the side of his truck for his middle-of-the-night visits,

Everything could go wrong, Laura. Adam, why don’t you just take the trash out now? Or would that make sense.

Without any doubt Adam is not home…mentally!

6 am is a distant memory, since I retired.

Around here, that could be too late.

Most people shouldn’t need to take the garbage can out weekly. Buy judiciously with less packaging, recycle everything that can be recycled, compost, and don’t put dirty, stinky things in your garbage can. We seldom have more than one small bag a week. It can be done.

Our trashman arrives late in farm-country, so we’re safe putting it out in the morning. Having said that, my brother does put an empty bag in the middle of the floor the night before ;-)

I’ve heard of this 6 AM thing. I always thought it was just a legend.

we take our trash directly to the “clean center” – no need to argue with the trash collectors about whether we’ve disposed of our trash according to the rules, no need to give any thought at all to the local folks gossiping about what the foreigner puts out in his trash. and we don’t need to put it out by 6…

Alarm clock…. I’ve heard of this, before.

I bet I’m not going to have any problem remembering to put out my trash tomorrow…

I’ve seen 6 AM many times when the bladder awakens me.

For almost 50 years I was already at work by 6 a.m. Glad I’m retired now

Never been a morning person. Since Covid and mostly staying home have been going to bed and waking up later and later – so these days 6 am is about when I actually fall asleep.
