Energy consumption in manufacturing (exports), military troops and equipment (world peace), tourist attractions (vacations) including those coming from other countries, etc So, it is not just the 5% benefiting from the energy usage but, the world at large. Very generous of the USA.

If night lighting was reduced and we got less light pollution of the night skies, nearly all of us would all get somewhat better views of the magnificent Universe, and some would achieve spectacular views. There would also be a reduction in CO2 emissions. High crime areas probably wouldn’t be good places to begin, though.

Maybe camels would have caught fewer colds if they had more water than they stored in their bodies while crossing the desert.

We don’t consume energy. We change it’s form. Same with food. ~ David Letterman, there’s not a man or woman alive who at some time doesn’t enjoy a lovely beverage

Take care, may snotty co-worker Janet “I Don’t Make Fun Of Camels Any More Than You Make Fun Of Marlboros And Winstons” Coughord be with you, and gesundheit.

The US uses the energy it needs just as the rest of the world does. The only problem right now is the government trying to make the people stop using natural gas which is low cost, very effective and better than electric in most cases. KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF MY GAS RANGE!

Cold virus originated with a camel? Obviously RBION is a camel racist! You can’t blame the origin of a virus! (Saved some of you the trouble)

About 20 years ago, it was claimed that if everyone in the world lived like the average American, we would need 5 Earths to be sustainable.

The USA consumes so much energy in order to be the world’s policeman. It took two world wars to destroy England, France, and Germany. The USA became an arsenal for liberty. You are welcome.

Exports shoddy, designed for obsolescence, consumer goods including genetically modified and toxic foods. Endless global war and colonial exploitation. Frivolous air travel, ocean-killing cruise ships, designed obselesence,… yes, so generous to the rest of the world.
