What about the Greek Adonis fellow who got himself trapped in his own fly while waiting for the beautiful Venus to emerge from her clamshell, a la Botticelli?

I had a Venus flutes (actually owned 3). All lived 5years +. Need distilled or rainwater. Tap water will kill them. You have to feed them every so often or they die. I typically used small bits of hamburger or pepperoni. And yes, they did catch their own flies. I also fed them garden pests shaken off flowers I grew and cut to bring in or give away. One caught a bee and multiple spiders.I had fun showing people how fast they were.

I had no idea flytraps were insect pollinated. That’s pretty funny.

So what’s the tallest grown Venus flytrap flower?

That’s an interesting example of evolution by natural selection in the case of Venus Flytraps.

Maybe we should grow some Venus Flytrap plants where the Murder Hornets live.

I’d love to see an owl’s eyes up close. Too bad they’re nocturnal.

I thought the mushrooms were grown in buildings, since mushrooms abhor sunlight. Today’s comic implies that they are grown in a sunny field.

Isn’t nature awesome.

BTW, those are hornets not bees. Hornets and wasps do not pollinate plants.

If the owl’s eyes are closed it’s not active at this time.

When an owl’s eyes are blood-shot, that a strong indicator that he/she went on a bender!

When I was a kid, I had a Venus fly trap.
