Sometime the truth hurts. Wind chimes, too.

Well, he use to be wise, and now he’s called dumb; but at least he’s part of a nature center where everyone can communicate.

So much for the wise owl.

Owls actually eat small mammals. Does that include preschoolers? The Uh Oh Baby?

Better watch out, Mr. Danders! Hope the kids give a hoot about protecting you.

I held an owl once and can remember how very soft it was. Wonderful experience!

As uzual, the kids are the ones who know what they’re talking about. Wind chimes are dumb. Their entire purpose is to make an annoying noise.

Q: How do you kill an owl that is sitting on a post?

A: Walk around it slowly counterclockwise, and it’s head will unscrew. and fall off.

Does this mean Ranger Dan still has a childlike sense of wonder since it’s only the kids who can talk to Mr.Danders?

I’ll bet he doesn’t know how many licks it takes to finish a Tootsie-Pop, either.

They have large heads, but those heads are mostly full of eyes and ears… the brain is relatively small. For smart birds, look for crows, parrots and their relatives.

Owls were deemed wise due to their association with the Goddess Athena, then again, they probably didn’t have wind chimes on Olympus.

Consider yourself lucky, Owl. That is far less humiliating than being tangled in an oboe. Just ask Petey.
