That’s a good life lesson, Jake….buuuuuuuuuuuuut when you work in a structured environment, you gotta follow the rules. Even a battleship knows better than to sail against the tides.

It matters not how strait the gate, how sealed with punishments the scroll;I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul.

On the other hand, if he’s not doing his job, then it does matter.

They’re razzing him because he’s a slacker and they have to do their job AND his. Even if he is a nice guy, he also has to either do the work or sail his battleship out the door and go find another job.

Just try navigating that battleship through the mine field of life, young man!!!

And the battleship is most often in port, with the captain asleep.

He shoots, he scores.

Too bad, he doesn’t show the same at work.

Whatever else, he is his own man.

Today’s Pearls has the same message.

He is getting paid to do a job. Nobody cares how he feels about himself.

He seems to forget, Battleships are no longer relevant.

Unfortunately, your work ethic mutinied long ago.

Sounds like pretty much every other useless slacker layabout I’ve ever met — they’re all just marching to their own drummers…
