I guess I’m pretty fortunate- I learned at a rather early age how to distract myself from the worries of the day and get to sleep each night. At least, 95% of the time.
Best suggestion I have is to re-focus, or distract yourself from the free-floating anxiety by thinking about a project you are working on, say a craft or renovation or a hobby, that you are trying to plan out. Works for me, anyway.
At night I dump all my cares onto a To-Do list and the sense of preparation helps with sleep. Of course the list is ignored come morning but has served its purpose.

They say your mood affects you more when you’re asleep than when awake. They advise putting yourself in a tranquil state of mind before sleeping.

Some people worry about weird things like German sausage – and can’t sleep because they fear the worst

Pigs can apparently sleep between 7 to 15 hours a day…I’d place our Pig closer to the 15-hour end of the spectrum. :D

Pig, you are my spirit animal. I find 2 am to be the sweet spot for dealing with existential issues.

I find the following quote to be very true: " Blessed is the man who is too busy to worry during the daytime and too tired to lie awake at night".

Why is Pig so worried? Is it because life is stressful?
landyk over 1 year ago
I fall asleep because my head is on a pillow, sometimes I only need to be flat on my back. I don’t know what my problem is.

I wish I could fall asleep anywhere like that.
