In grade school, a classmate kept a running tally of each time our teacher said, “Now, do you see?” The teacher noted his inattenion, and came over to admonish him. Of course she said, “Now, do you see?” And of course he couldn’t resist adding another checkmark!

Some therapy says you write down all the things that get you mad, read it and then burn the list! Maybe Earl heard that!
