My foster dad is usually a very patient man with very few harsh words, if any, to utter. One time though he got so mad at me for seriously injuring one of my siblings after daring him to jump off the roof into the pool. I swear, I peed my pants in fear over the murderous wrath in his tone. I was a model foster kid, nay, a model citizen after that day.

Mom: “Leave the boy alone. I’m making my famous tuna casserole, and somebody has to finish it all off. Don’t you, Miles?”

Gene ain’t just gonna ground Miles, is he?

Gene will relent but feel mighty sad about losing his much adored TV.

Worse thing I ever did as a kid was spray ink from a fountain pen over my parents NEW armchairs. Seventy years ago and I can still remember the wrath!

Poor Gene !! In Panel 1 !! … I keep thinking of ’ Stinger Music ’ like:

1. The Spanish Inquisition ‘surprise entrance’ from Monty Python’s Flying Circus, or …

2. From the Ren and Stimpy episode, ‘Nurse Stimpy’, where people looking through the window see Ren getting a sponge bath! … (then, it being published in the next day’s newspaper)!! … :)
