Perfumes, flowers, etc. are banned in many business settings. Never thought of someone burning a scented candle at work, praying for a good evaluation?
Had a coworker who always burned candles at home; several times after arriving she would have to go back because she couldn’t remember if she put them out..
At my last workplace there was a clerk that worked in an adjoining room that had on some kind of overpowering perfume or scent that smelled like an explosion had taken place at an Ivory soap factory. I don’t think I could have tolerated working in that room. I’ve had to tolerate less than ideal living and working conditions when I was onboard a ship in the Navy but it was no way as bad as this. I wonder how her fellow workers could handle it.

My nose – or rather, my canary lungs – know cigarette smoke. I start hacking (or passing out) even from smokers’ clothing.
Dana is the culprit?? You’d think the boss would know better.

I really dislike scented things, especially scented candles and perfumes.

Scented candles give me a headache, even when unlit!

Scented candles always remind me of a nightmare where I get trapped in an elevator with women who have drenched themselves in perfume.

For some women, isn’t elevated sense of smell one of the side effects of …. ?

Is it the burning or is it the scent? Because anyone can get candle warmers now that melt the wax without using the wick.
