Gingers get no respect

I’m surprised no one has posted a link to a comic where these characters previously appeared.

Uh, Ginger went to live on a farm. (For a strip that started in 1979, there may even have been another dog or two.)

“Well, you see, there was this focus group that thought she was a little nondescript, and felt that the strip needed more of a scamp. Don’t worry, they didn’t have her put down. They did some kind of outplacement thing and found her a position in some community newsletter thing in Utah.”

Ginger? There was one before Wally?

I’ve been reading this since the late 70’s I don’t seem to remember her.

Aww doesn’t Ginger look sweet! Poor Norman in the 3rd panel looks absolutely traumatized, it’s amazing how much emotion you can convey with a couple of lines (specifically those lines around his eyes)

Ginger (Tina Louise) is still around. She’s the last surviving cast member of Gilligan’s Island after Mary Ann (Dawn Wells) died in 2020.

Go ahead Wally, bite those tasty little sausages that you see before you.

The Drabbles’ hyperactive dachshund. Wally was introduced in Christmas 1998 when Norman gave Ralph a dog because he couldn’t afford something.

When they were passing out brains, Norm thought they said trains and chose a slow one. And then it got derailed.

Wally seems to like Neil.

Ginger crossed the rainbow bridge and is with the two kitties from Ten Cats.

I’m guessing that Ginger was mistaken for a badger and eaten.

Every time I see Wally I always wonder about Ginger.

Probably decided to go some place smarter.
