Only $14,000 instead of $15,000. Such a deal I have for you, I wouldn’t give to my own mother!

Nah. Let the bugger turn in his grave. I’ll take the rotisserie option.

When my Dad died there was so much sadness, crying and visible grief from the funeral director since my Dad had pre-paid years earlier. Dad passed peacefully at 97. I think he prepaid his funeral at 60 or 65 years of age.

Can one rent a coffin? I mean – a fancy box for the funeral, then just get buried in something simple and decomposable? Ummm, no reason, just curious.

Padded coffins are one of the silliest creations. As if the occupant cared or noticed. But they’re good money makers.

I’m going to be cremated and scattered in the ocean – even cheaper.

For my mom, we bought her coffin at Costco. It’s true. Half the price of the funeral home.

You can do the same thing with cremation, and it will bring him closer to his final resting place as well.

Sounds good to me. “It matters not/ I’ve oft’ been told/ where the body lies / when the heart grows cold.”

The “responsible” thing, both fiscally and environmentally, is composting. The entire burial business is a racket, protected by the undertakers’ lobby – which is amazing powerful.

Just bury him in the back yard, the worms will do wonders for the soil.

I’m kind of thinking, the person inside it is not going to care, in the least.
