Rod’s retro beeper is going non-stop. HooDad’s is offering $200 thousand NIL money for Rod to star in a series of commercials with Rod drinking HooDad’s and surviving car crashes and a building collapse

Is Rod’s response a non sequitur? My default setting for this strip is things don’t make sense, but I’ll allow for the possibility this is supposed to mean something.

Congrats to HooDad for hitting the big time. Your NIL contract with UVA is finally payi8ng off!

HooDad’s. The preferred drink of vape pushers? This has been a year of funny panels for me. The Peacock mascot, Gil doing a used car commercial amid school budget cuts and Mimi going to Arizona to work on her golf game and find herself. Any Snarkers have other funny panels to note?

P 3: Rod looks a little startled and embarrassed as he brings his hand out from under the covers

P-1: Tobi makes a Freudian slip.

P-2: Just as Tobi is about to discover where Rod hid the Vape money, Gil buts in.

P-3: Gil screws up and brings Hoodad Root beer instead of Orange!

P4 “Cami? Cami? What are you two doing here? Last thing I remember was that Cami was riding me…errrr…riding with me in the ambulance.”

I guess Rod’s parents couldn’t be at the hospital for him, but mom at least told Gil what pop to buy

How many weeks is he going to be in the hospital?? I thought for sure this would another unresolved plot point. I guess he probably has to be Tobe’s receiver when he takes to the mound.

P4- (Gil): “Okay, who’s got a bottle opener?”

P 4: Gil and Tobe look at each other and wordlessly decide that Rod can’t pour any drinks on his own, so Tobe squeezes Rod’s mouth open while Gil empties a full can down his throat

OK, if Henry is going to use our comments in the strip (i.e. the use of “Hoo”, we should be getting a royalty for sampling our ideas. Just don’t list us in the credits.

P2 – Isn’t that what the golf cart girl said to Mimi and her coach? Do we have more sexy shenanigans on the way? I hope not, considering 2 of the 3 are probably minors here. And speaking of minors, one minor task still on your agenda is to read today’s issue of Mopped Up Thorp.
