Since when does Seagull shy away from a fish out of water like that?

Spud’s one and only fish story to tell the grandkids. Wallace’s grandkids. Spud’s not going to have much of a selection of his own at this rate.

The gulls will be loving on him like they were on Dad yesterday – LOL

Only Spud can live things like this. Awesome! The third panel is perfect. The expression of the fish hitting Spud, the SMACK with fish bones, Seagull flying away and Wallace shocked. Then the final punchline. FANTASTIC!

That will be his epitaph…..

In the last panel the fish looks kind of like it’s preparing to give Spud the “kiss of life”.

Is that a common fishing phrase? Like “fore” in golf?

Sometimes greatness is thrust upon us.

Reminds me of that show about dangerous fish and fishing for them- the host would always yell “FISH ON!!” when he hooked a fish. I considered having a Tee made with the catch phrase- Fish On, Fish On!!

I love how Wallace just stands there, as if this sort of thing happens to Spud all the time … which it probably does.

What the heck is wrong with that guy? WHY IS HE GREY I DON’T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT BUT WHYYYY IT WOULD BE PRETTY INTERESTING TO KNOW

I believe the modern phrase is “Fincoming!”
