Brussel sprouts have something in them (dont know what its called). Where if theyre boiled or steamed, they give off an unpleasant suphuric odor and taste. Best way to cook them is either roasting them under a broiler. Or pan frying them in a little butter (looks like Katts dad used the second method).
Everyone keeps telling me I’ll like brussels sprouts if they’re cooked correctly. I’ve tasted at least a dozen recipes I’ve been assured were ‘amazing’ and ‘life changing’. Still can’t stand them.
My neighbor’s kids loved brussels sprouts when their grandmother made them. Couldn’t understand why until we found out the recipe, she covered them in butter, brown sugar and syrup. They couldn’t even taste the brussels sprouts.
I have a niece who loves my roast Brussel sprout recipe. I make a point of making them for her whenever she is at my place for dinner, which is far too infrequently since she is now living in England.
Barring those who are genetically incapable of liking them, I’ve always convinced people to like brussels sprouts by serving them sauteed in butter with a maple glaze. Eventually they graduate to my preferred garlic roasted recipe.

Heart hates tasting new stuff but thisn’t the first time when she has and found it delicious.
My wife usually cuts the brussel sprouts in half so they cook faster.

I cannot stand them cooked. But I like them raw and shredded into a salad or cole slaw.

The only way I can stand brussels sprouts is if they are fried or roasted. Too bad I was in my sixties before I discovered that.

Brussels Sprouts are the yummiest vegetables. I’ve never understood why so many people don’t like them.

Wow, she really devoured those. But then again, you have to cook a Brussel sprout right for it to really taste good.

You take off the hard end and ugly leafs. Then you boil them for then minutes, grate a little nutmeg over then and eat them.
