Mrs. Jenson has engendered Rita with personality traits she sees Rita displaying. Destroying someone’s gender role rules that focus on anatomy instead of sociology
Last year of college (hospitality branche, for cooks, servers and middlemanagement in restaurants), we had a career day. Euro Disney was going to open the year after, so they came to our college to try to recruit us. But upon hearing all the rules and the obligation to start working in one of those character suits, I wasn’t as enthusiastic anymore. Still want to visit the park sometime though.
The easiest and most common way for would-be dictators to get power is to create an enemy to rally people against. What’s sad is how easily some people are rallied against things that have nothing to do with them.
They call them all “cast members.” Backstage crew has a better union. I applied to be an electrician. It was one of the few places with the courtesy to send a letter saying “you’re qualified but we hired someone more qualified.”
Going up against Disney, trying to reverse previously decided legal claims, is just dumb. They have lawyers unto the fourth generation; you only have a few years in office.
I’d like to see Disney just threaten to shut everything down and leave. Close for a week and say you’ve had it with the harassment and see what DuhSantis and the legislature does. Everybody knows he’s just grandstanding anyway. Disney employs more people than any other company in central Florida and brings in hundreds of millions in tourism and tax dollars for the state. Make him squirm.
Rita makes a good Snow White character, although she looks much less childlike and innocent than the original Disney version. Maybe more of a 40-something Snow White. By the way, what really happens in those stories that end “…and they lived happily ever after”? Surely there must have been ups and downs in any of these fairy tale royal marriages (look at all of the drama that goes along with some of the modern real royal marriages!).

I like Mrs. Jenson version of Rita best. Yeah Curella De Vil.

Once a group picks their victims, they’ll do anything to destroy them.

I wonder how long it will be before Disney decides to leave Florida to themselves.

A friend at church was the first Tinkerbell. Either she was perfect for the job or some of that magic remains with her to this day. Maybe both.

Is there something wrong with Disney that I missed?
