FINALLY SOME PROGRESS!

OH MY GOD!!!

If they get into a relationship then it better last more than a year or the arc is a total waste of time for nothing

YES THIS MIGHT ACTUALLY HAPPEN AFTER A MONTH OF WAITING

Part of why I like this arc is the little touches like Nate’s nice little oh at the end (and his previous devistated oh) and the visual work on daphne’s expressions. Say what you will about big nate (I’m a 31 year old man and I sure have), but Pierce has always had a great eye for expressions and it’s really shined this arc.

YES!!! This might just be it, what many of us really want!

Took them long enough

After getting his heart shattered by Daphne, Craig decided to stop focusing on girls and start going to the gym and get absolutely ripped

Well, it’s finally happened!! And honesty, I am surprised! I was sure Nate would lie!

Like I’ve said before, still hoping we get to see their project (maybe as a date?), and I DO think that they could use a little more interaction before they go out (I mean, outside of being seemingly fond of his personality and grateful he got rid of Craig, why else does Daphne like Nate? What else do they share?), but I can’t complain, we’ve all been waiting a while for this! Plus, the expressions and emotions are genuinely adorable! Nate’s disappointed face before getting excited, the blushes, Daphne’s shyness. Usually when Nate gets together with a girl the girl seems really confident or leading or whatever. It’s kinda nice to have someone who’s as shy and flustered as Nate is!

10/10, not funny but the feels will not be denied!

Prediction for tomorrow:

1. First kiss (Peirce usually does it by now)

2. They go do the project (first date?)

3. Gina reaction

4. Dee Dee and or Francis and Teddy reactions

5. Craig walks in

I think it’s 1 or 2!

Now that is an interesting way to deliver that line!

Wait, woah! Progress!Kinda wish this was hinted a LITTLE more in earlier strips. We all just kinda had to guess she liked him back. There were signs, no doubt, but it was pretty tough to get a definite “Yeah, she likes him.”Either way, we finally got confirmation!

ive seen a comment on here that said “i hope they stay together for a year.” i mean yeah that’d be nice but i think the idea of nates relationships only lasting a few months makes sense. 6th graders dont know much about commitment yknow

oh my god i was ready to write one of those “im not reading this until they get together” comments, but now I can say this: WOOHOO

Reasons why Daphne might like Nate (hoping we get a strip that goes into that):

1. He came through with the lab work in the end (Nate’s reputation is known to her, yet he did right by her)

2. He helped her with Craig

3. She thinks they make a pretty good team

4. They both like Cheez Doodles?

Guessed potential reasons:

1. She finds him funny (she affectionately rolled her eyes twice, a surprisingly rare thing in this strip)

2. She feels more confident and less shy with him

3. She likes how different he is

P.S I’m trying something new with the reviews, i hope y’all like it (thoughts down below plz)

everyone is overrating this arc because of the fact that it’s a romance arc. Although it is better than the past arcs which were absolute garbage this one is not well written either. Although Daphne is a much more likeable character than someone like Trudy is the trudy arc is much more well written tbh. This one is just a worse repaste of the novel with Ruby in it. Nate also likes Daphne for a very lame reason compared to all his other ‘flings’ (except daisy). This arc also had lame pacing and craig is just useless garbage of a character which i bet we won’t even see after this arc, every single panel he was in was just a waste of time to stretch out the arc. I would not be surprised if pierce did some stupid thing like just break them up right after this arc ends
